Try as we might, the holiday season is always a hectic one. Balancing work, family, and friends is especially busy during this time of joy, relaxation, and wonder. I have talked about my meditation practice before on the blog, and in the next few blog posts, I want to revisit this idea and expound upon mantras a bit. Mantras can be a tool used to help bring calm, focus, and positivity to daily life, which can definitely help during these next few weeks of craziness!

Happy Monday friends! Did anyone start their day off with a yoga or meditation practice? For those of you who do practice yoga and meditation, you are probably familiar with the symbol I want to talk about today–the Om symbol. This special symbol has many meanings and could even mean something different to you personally but today I want to talk a little bit about its history.

Well, hello there! Happy Monday–I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and that it is starting to feel a little bit like Fall where you are (sadly, it definitely is not here in Phoenix)! Some of you may be wondering what exactly a chakra even is. In Hindu, yogic and other belief systems, chakras are the seven energy points that run along the meridian of the body. Running from bottom to top of the body, they are the root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye chakra and crown chakra. Hello friends! Today I am excited to share with you my practice of sketching and journaling. I use my sketchbook for journaling, drawing and doodling. It is a huge source of stress release for me, as well as being a wonderful creative outlet.
